Getting Started

It has been a while since I was in the world of Node and Typescript. From what I remembered it was somewhat of a hassle to setup all of the compiler / linting / test frameworks together and get something to run. I don’t know if it’s the landscape that has change or me, but now that I’ve returned to peek into the world of Node it’s actually quite pleasant. I found this guide on how to setup typescript with node and it now all suddenly feels so simple.

What I found a bit curious though is that I’ve started using AI when coding as well, and for the configuration files I would have expected the AI to pick the same default configurations as was defined by the guide. Turns out it didn’t which indicates that there’s (naturally) still quite some different ways of doing stuff being used in this standard setting up of projects.
